Happy New Year To All Our Readers

Wherever you are in the world we both hope you have a Happy and Healthy 2007.

My fellow Finsbury Park blogger a.c.t. posted a photo of her family Nativity scene.

Over here at Phantom H.Q. the Health and Safety Inspectors decided that straw and our passion for night-lights was a bit of a risky combination, so we had to give the hay the old heave ho.

We like a slightly non-traditional twist, so see if you can spot the odd-one-out in our crib scene...

This just happens to be post 101. It seems appropriate to hit a turning point like that on the first day of the New Year. Phantom's Resolution? Keep Blogging!!

A Happy Near to you to and I certainly hope you keep blogging as you blog is one of the most interesting around.
The atmosphere in Finsbury Park was very strange last night - the site of Tesco's shutters being down was off-putting to say the least. We'd forgotton to get supplies in so were forced to eat in Nandos as everywhere else was closed. I'd always refused to eat there but it wasn't at all bad and made a nice change.

Many thanks. I am genuinely flattered.

Nandos - never been there myself, though the food sounds quite tasty - "barbecue" and "Chilli" are words that start my juices flowing! Funnily enough, I haven't done a barbecue for about three years. Keep meaning to... We were given A.W.T's "Barbecues and Grilling" this Christmas. Maybe this is an early indication of this year's culinary theme?

That was why the chicken was so tasty as it was barbecued/flame grilled and so was the corn on the cob. Unfortunately we couldn't even think about doing a barbecue on our roof through fear of smoking out all the neighbours. Have you got a garden?

I am glad to say we have. It isn't extensive, and is badly overshadowed by some huge Lime trees, but it is our own few square yards of (boggy at the moment) paradise.

About three years ago I did quite a few barbecues, and became known to one of our neighbours as "that man who cooks at the end of the garden".
